I actually searched the web for a template of the ship "The Black Pearl" from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I couldn't believe I found it! I shrunk it down on the copier and then traced it using tracing paper onto black cardstock. I did the same thing with the sails only I traced them onto self-adhesive fabric. The skull and crossbones are copies of those on the Black Pearl flag. The "ladders" coming down from the mast are made from Magic Mesh.
