These quick and easy holiday crafts are a great way for beginners—or anyone looking for last-minute gift options—to create fun, festive treats with that special personal touch.
 
Idea #1: Festive Tops
  • Turn an ordinary turtleneck into a fun holiday project by sewing holiday themed buttons to the bottom edge of the turtleneck.
  • Embellish your favorite cardigan by carefully removing existing buttons and replacing them with decorative holiday buttons.
Idea #2: Personalized Stockings
  •  Personalize a plain stocking by sewing on holiday buttons and adding decorative stitching.
Idea #3: Mantle Decoration
 
Supplies:
  • One bag of Holiday Buttons
  • One package of small clothes pins
  • Two yards of cord or ribbon (to make clothes line)
  • Scraps of red, green, or white felt.
  • Scraps of lace & trimmings
  • ½ yard of ribbon (for hangers)

Directions:

  1. Cut out felt from patterns you make – like small stockings and a child’s hand print.
  2. Lay out & place trim, buttons, etc. on each piece of felt.
  3. Sew on buttons.
  4. Glue remaining items & hang.
Caution: Do not place too close to a burning fireplace.
