- #2 Flat brush
- Galvanized tub
- Vinegar
- Lint free cloth
Instructions: Preparation 1. Wipe the surface with vinegar and the cloth. 2. Trace the transfer pattern.
1. Double load the 3/4” flat brush with Thicket and Fresh Foliage. Add a touch of Wicker White to the Fresh Foliage side. Using the chisel edge of the brush and leading with the Fresh Foliage/Wicker White side, pull strokes to make the pine needles.2. Continue to overlap the strokes. Occasionally flip the brush to lead with the Thicket side to add dimension and interest.3. Load the #12 flat brush with Engine Red, then side load with Berry Wine by stroking next to the puddle of paint. Using the flat side of the brush and keeping the Berry Wine to the left, paint the “S” shaped strokes to make the ribbon.4. Load the #2 script liner with Fresh Foliage. Paint a line to each side of the red ribbon. 5. Load the #2 script liner with Wicker White. Paint a white stripe on the right side of the ribbon. 6. Dip the handle of the #12 flat brush into Engine Red. Dot to make berries.
1. Load the 1/2” scruffy with Wicker White, then add a touch of Burnt Umber to one corner of the brush. Using an up-and-down pouncing motion and keeping the Burnt Umber to the left side, pounce the parts of the snowmen. Start with the back arm and back leg, and then the stomach/body. Set the scruffy aside. 2. Load the #12 flat brush with Flow Medium, then side load a touch of Wicker White. Using the flat side of the brush and keeping the Wicker White to the outer edge, paint the wings. 3. Using the still loaded scruffy, pounce the front leg, the arm and then the head. Allow the head to dry for about five minutes before proceeding.4. Load the 1/8” scruffy with Wicker White, then add a touch of Berry Wine. Pounce on the palette to create a soft pink color. Pounce the cheeks.5. Load the #2 flat brush with Pure Orange. Paint the carrot nose. Add a touch of Burnt Umber to one corner and add some shading to the carrots.6. Load the #2 script liner with Burnt Umber that has been thinned with Flow Medium. Paint the eyes, eyebrows, and mouth. Add a few details to the carrot nose.7. Load the #2 script liner with Wicker White. Paint the strings that attach the snowmen to the pine garland. Highlight the eyes.Lettering: Load the #8 flat brush with Wicker White. Paint the lettering.Embellishments: 1. Load the #8 flat brush with Engine Red, then side load with Berry Wine. Using the flat side of he brush and keeping the Berry Wine to the outer edge, paint the heart shape. 2. Load the #8 flat brush with Pure Gold Metallic. Paint the star.3. Load the #2 script liner with Wicker White. Paint the snowflakes, paint a snowflake shape on the star, and highlight the heart.4. Using the bottle tip of Wicker White Dimensional, dot the snowflakes.5. Using the bottle tip of Wicker White Dimensional, embellish the wings and the lettering.6. Using the bottle tip of Pure Gold Dimensional, paint the magic wand, outline the star and add a handle to the heart. Give the snowman angel a halo.
Finish
Allow the paint to air cure for 72 hours prior to exposing to the elements.
Cautions: Do not use in direct contact with food. Do not paint within 4/5" of top rim of glasses or mugs. Reverse painting on the back of glass plates is recommended if plate is to be used with food.
