I love this Cricut machine. I bought mine a few weeks ago at another retailer for $184.00(e). If you take just a few minutes to read the book, you see that changing the settings is easy and gives you an advantage in cutting correctly. I have used the Cuttlebug dies, and with them you get more letters than you need. I have also owned the Xyron Personal Cutting System and that is a piece of junk. Don''t look at anything else, buy the Cricut!

The mat doesn''t hold the paper in place. There are far too many adjustments to make for each kind of medium. The cartridges are outrageously expensive. It ruined more paper than it cut. Might as well buy a Wishblade. You don''t have to buy all those extra expensive cartridges. The machines doesn''t even come with all the tools needed to remove cuts from the mat.

I saw this at Walmart I got it for Mother''s Day and paid 180.00. It took a while of reading to figure it out and the only thing I can''t figure out is once you have cut a word from the peice of paper how not to waste the whole sheet cause once you reload it it always starts from the same position other than that it is great and easy to use. I highly recommend getting the tool set too that goes with it cause it is hard to peel the words from the sticky back board without them.

the new 12 x 24 machine on sale is 269.00 regular 399.00. so why pay this price for this one and NOT know if you get any extras with it when you can buy the newer version cheaper, and know what comes with it.

This is the best! It is very easy to operate and has tons of options with each cartridge. I use mine all the time. It is well worth the price and is also portable. A+++
