Great machine / Jeanne, NY5/28/2008 I have sewn since childhood. I almost didn''t order the machine due to the reviews regarding the noise and the pause in restarting. I received it today. I don''t think it is noisy at all. I see what the pause is, but is was nothing troublesome. My only annoyance would be the needle always goes to the up postion when you release the foot pedal, which is what I think causes the delay. I prefer my needle in the fabric when I stop sewing. I tried all the stitches and am very pleased with it.
Love it! / , IL5/4/2008 I recieved this machine over a year ago, and due to moving twice in a years time, I have only had the opportunity to use it a couple of times. But I still know that I love it. I used it to put my name and decorative borders on a denim apron that I made. It is really wonderful, and as soon as I''m all set up here, I can''t wait to start sewing with it again. :-)
Well Made4/9/2008 I received my singer a couple of weeks ago. I haven''t sewn in 30 years and was a little worried I''d forgotten most of what I learned then. I sat down and read the manual and then began winding the bobbin and threading the machine. The manual was very well written and easy to follow. The machine itself is very well made and came with just about every foot you could imagine Great job HSN. I would recommend this item to anyone.
A bit dissapointed / Jane10/21/2007 I am a quilter, and this machine does not have a needle down feature that surprised me with all the other functionality it has. My biggest problem is with the presser foot... there a delay when you stop and try to start again. VERY FRUSTRATING! I just read the other review about calling Singer... I will try that and hopefully they can help resolve the issue.
