Anyone who has ever tried to make a sticker or glue the back of a die cut alphabet would soon appreciate this machine. I have all 5 sizes of these Laminators. Each serves it's own purpose and I wouldn't try to scrapbook or make my own cards without them. Not worth the hassle of trying to glue an A down on a scrapbook page to do without my Xyrons.....all 5 of them. The refilling is a snap. They pull out and push in. Nothing hard at all about it.

I have used several different cartridges with it, and never have any difficulty loading them. Some of the cartridges that I've used: a matte laminate/adhesive back to make home decor scrapbook projects (now the items can be cleaned w/o worry about damaging the pictures), the laminate/magnet for pictures that my husband can put on his metal cabinets at work, double laminate to protect items for my kids so they can touch them. I couldn't be without this machine!

Expensive to refill. BUT NOTHING is better for getting glue into all those areas (points of stars and hearts etc.) I tell myself I'm only going to use it for large items and only for special paper...but it's so easy and it stays.

The Laminater cartridge isn't easy to load but once you get it going...well I like gadgets.
